What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website can place on your device. They are widely used to make websites work and to make them work more efficiently.
Two kinds of cookie
hjelteracing.com is built to be light on cookies. The first kind is what the site needs to function and load correctly, including remembering the choice you make in the cookie banner. Those are always set.
The second kind is analytics. We use them to understand which pages are read, which links are followed and where visitors stop, so we can make the site better. These are only set after you allow them in the banner. Say no and none are placed and nothing is measured. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles and we do not sell anything to advertisers.
The analytics we use
Analytics run on PostHog, on European servers. We deliberately keep the measurement narrow: pages viewed, buttons and links clicked, how far down a page people read and whether the contact form was sent successfully. Of the contact form only the chosen subject is recorded, never your name, email address, phone number or message. There is no session recording, so we never watch a replay of your visit.
Changing your mind
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time through the cookie settings in the banner. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings and set your browser to refuse them. Note that disabling cookies may affect how parts of the website work.
Third-party services
Some functionality, such as hosting and any embedded media, may set its own cookies. Where that is the case, those cookies are governed by the relevant provider's own policy.
